Welcome to The Great Divide Lodge your affordable year round adventure center located at the Kicking Horse Pass and Continental Divide in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. We are the gateway to 3 of Canada’s national parks and over look Wapta Lake on the British Columbia side of the majestic Canadian Rockies. We're just 10 minutes from the world class skiing and snowboarding at Lake Louise.

We offer clean, comfortable, and affordable rooms (some with balconies) in our two lodges; The Great Divide Lodge and Wapta Lodge.  We also have 5 suites with fire places. Our amenities include The Great Divide Restaurant, and the Kicking Horse Pass Pub where you can get a drink or a snack 24 hours a day, a small gift shop, guest lounge, free wireless internet, free parking, There is a complimentary shuttle to Ski Louise in the winter for world class skiing and snow boarding and to the summer sight seeing gondola and interpretive center for some of the best views in the Canadian Rockies. There is a complimentary shuttle to White and Wild snowmobiling and Wild Water Adventures rafting. And a paid shuttle to Kicking Horse resort

You can snow shoe or hike from the front door to Padjet Peak look out or Sherbrook Lake, cross country ski or hike to the Continental Divide or Lake O’Hara. We are surrounded by some of the best ski touring and back country skiing in Canada and are at the end of the Whapta Traverse. We have amazing winter and summer hiking, climbing, and ice climbing in the Canadian Rockies. all around us. You can go trout and fly fishing outside the front door, canoeing and of course white water rafting on the Kicking Horse River. We are only 10 minutes or 17km from Lake Louise. 5 minutes from Field, 35 minutes from Golden, 45 minutes from Kicking Horse resort. We are 35 minutes from Heli skiing and Snowmobiling. 20 minutes from white water rafting on the famous class 4 rapids of the Kicking Horse River. You can go jet boating, quad biking or horse back riding, mountain biking or para gliding. You name it and from the Lodge you can do it! On the wild side we are a train spotter’s paradise with Spiral Junction 2 minutes away. Yes we have train spotters who come to stay! And let’s not forget the bird watchers in the summer.

There are more bars and restaurants in Lake Louise or Field only moments away. After a great day of skiing or riding at Lake Louise followed by some après ski in the Powder Keg or for the perfect winter weekend start with the Torchlight dinner and ski every Friday night at Ski Louise. Or  after a day of adventure just head back to the Lodge for a relaxing sauna and a great home cooked dinner.
